Organization and Position Summary

For the past 36 years, Family Pathways, a non-profit organization, has developed and offered programs to communities in East Central Minnesota.  In 2009, our services were expanded to Polk County Wisconsin.  In 2014, Family Pathways merged with The Refuge Network.   Our nine Food Shelves, Domestic Violence Shelter, four Teen Centers, Youth Services, and Senior Services are offered to individuals at no charge.  Family Pathways Mission is: To work with communities to develop supportive, caring relationships helping people meet their basic needs.

Food Shelf Coordinators represent the safety net for our clients struggling.  It is very embarrassing for our clients to come and ask for help.  They are in a spot they never felt would happen to them.  Clients need answers and direction to an area that is very foreign to them.  It is our job to help them get food for their family but also to share other resources that are in the community.  Donors play as important a role and we cannot help without support from the community.  Going out to meet and set up food drives and talking about the food shelf is just as valuable.
