Family Pathways is a 501©3 nonprofit dedicated to working with communities to develop supportive, caring relationships to help people meet their basic needs through the provision of Hunger Relief Services, The Refuge Network (Domestic Abuse Program), Aging Services, Youth Services and Thrift Stores.  

 

Men’s Advocate, Located in Isanti, Chisago, and Kanabec County

The Refuge Network

Full time (32-40 hours/week) – Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (some nights and weekends)

Must be able to commit to on-call rotation.

Wages $15.00/hour depending on qualifications

 

Key responsibilities:

The Refuge Network is a program whose mission is to provide supportive services for people who are currently involved or have been in an abusive relationship. Men’s Advocate – Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault advocacy with direct services, criminal and civil court advocacy, crisis intervention, support group facilitation, facilitate trainings and community education around domestic violence and sexual assault, hospital advocacy, child protection visitation supervision. Coordinate and facilitate the men’s batterer’s program. Focus working with male victims but not limited to.

 

Required skills and abilities:

· Experience providing advocacy

· Excellent communication and listening skills

· Comfortable with public speaking

· Ability to problem solve and multi tasks

· Works well independently or with others

· Works well under pressure

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma. College degree preferred.

· Valid driver’s license, car insurance and clean driving record

· Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
