Youth Services

Circle of Friends

Family Pathways' Youth Services Programs are building strong youth!

Circle of Friends crosses the invisible line separating teens with special needs from the other teens by providing bi-weekly activities that encourages youth to get to know each other and build friendships with students in their school.

Learning to befriend a person's heart and soul instead of their looks or social status is a lesson well worth the effort.  All buddies, with and without special needs, enjoy the time they get to spend with each other. Building social skills and friendships are important as teens transition to jobs and the adult world. Family Pathways provides Youth Programming and Activities in the communities in Chisago, Isanti, Pine, Kanabec, and Mille Lacs counties.

Kids First

Kids First is a one to one mentoring program matching adults with youth ages 7-17.

Currently the mentors in the Kids First program are mainly in the Mora/Ogilvie area.  Mentors spend on average 4 hours a month with their mentee encouraging the development of healthy habits, lifestyles and goals.  This program also offers group mentoring twice a month doing activities and games at the teen center while building relationships and trust.

Volunteers are needed for each group, please contact us or fill out a volunteer form to start the process.

Teen Centers  have daily activity calendars posted each month. The activities are geared for fun and building assets that teens need to grow into healthy adults. Teens need to fill out an enrollment form with their parents and agree to follow the rules at the teen centers. The teen centers open early at 1 pm during the summer and on non-school days, like over MEA and during winter and spring breaks.

For a list of activities and days the centers are closed for Holidays, please locate the Teen Center nearest you.
