Circle of Friends

You may only be one person in this world, but to one person you may be the world.

Family Pathways Circle of FriendsCircle of Friends crosses the invisible line separating teens with special needs from the other teens by providing bi-weekly activities that encourage youth to get to know each other and build friendships with students in their school.

Learning to befriend a person's heart and soul instead of their looks or social status is a lesson well worth the effort.  All buddies, with and without special needs, enjoy the time they get to spend with each other. Building social skills and friendships are important as teens transition to jobs and the adult world.

Circle of Friends (COF) has given my son a sense of belonging. He has developed many friendships with kids he would have probably not met if it wasn't for this group. It is very comforting to know that there are people who take pride in helping kids with disabilities. The leadership is outstanding and helps teach the kids many valuable learning lessons. I am so happy we found this group and my son looks forward to the activities. He likes just being able to be himself.

Come join the fun. Participate as a buddy or as a volunteer mentor and reap the rewards.  It will do your heart good. Annual Affordable Prom Party in May allows all students to experience prom without breaking the bank.

It’s easy to join Circle of Friends, just call or send us your name, phone and what school you attend.
